Announcement of the changes planned for the 1.34.0 update

Hello, survivors! We want to tell you about some of the planned changes that will appear in the game with the 1.34.0 update.

We increased the maximum range of a number of weapon types. This change will prevent the situation when projectiles explode in flight, although they could have hit the target if they continued on their trajectory. This case was the most noticeable with rocket launchers and autocannons.

Large-caliber miniguns:

1. Reaper: maximum range increased from 110 to 300 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Rumble: maximum range increased from 110 to 300 m.

Rocket launchers:

1. AT Bee: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m.

2. AT Wasp: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

3. Snowfall: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

4. Yokai: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 10%.

5. Pyralid: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

6. Cricket 1M: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

7. Waltz: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

8. RL-9 Helicon: maximum range increased from 160 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

Comment: after several balance changes, “Helicon” is still too powerful even for a relic rarity weapon. The present changes are intended to reduce the efficiency of its perk. We are aware of feedback from players asking to remove the ability to use the weapon’s perk at the same time as its normal shot, but it is not possible within current balance changes. We will consider changing the mechanics of the perk in the future if the current changes will prove to be ineffective. We are also aware of the strategy of using the “Helicon” with “Icebox”. This exploit will be fixed in the future by moving the “Helicon” and “Waltz” rocket launchers into the “rotary rocket launchers” category. Since the “Icebox” only boosts course weapons, “Helicon” will no longer be too powerful when used with it.

Autocannons:

1. AC43 Rapier: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Median: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

3. Gungnir: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m.

4. AC62 Therm: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

5. AC64 Joule: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m.

6. AC72 Whirlwind: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m.

7. Whirl: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m.

8. Stillwind: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

9. Tempest: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m.

10. Cyclone: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%, durability increased by 15%.

Plasma cannons:

1. Quasar: maximum range increased from 200 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Pulsar: maximum range increased from 200 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

Crossbows:

1. Varun: maximum range increased from 300 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Phoenix: maximum range increased from 300 to 500 m, damage reduced by 5%.

Machine guns (mid- and long-range combat):

1. M-29 Protector: maximum range increased from 80 to 200 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Spectre-2: maximum range increased from 80 to 200 m, accuracy slightly increased, damage reduced by 5%.

3. Vindicator: maximum range increased from 80 to 200 m, accuracy slightly reduced, damage reduced by 10%.

4. Nothung: maximum range increased from 80 to 200 m, accuracy slightly reduced, damage reduced by 5%.

5. Punisher: maximum range increased from 80 to 200 m, damage reduced by 5%.

Machine guns (mid-range combat):

1. SM Hornet: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

2. LM-54 Chord: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

3. MM5-4 Vector: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m, accuracy slightly increased.

4. ST-M23 Defender: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

5. M-38 Fidget: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

6. M-37 Piercer: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

7. Aspect: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m, damage increased by 7.5%.

8. M-39 Imp: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

Plasma emitters:

1. Algorithm: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

2. Synthesis: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

3. Prometheus V: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

4. Helios: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

5. Theseus: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m, damage increased by 7.5%.

6. Hyperion: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

Shotguns (close and mid-range combat):

1. Lupara: maximum range increased from 40 to 60 m.

2. Mace: maximum range increased from 40 to 60 m.

3. Summator: maximum range increased from 40 to 60 m.

4. Goblin: maximum range increased from 40 to 60 m.

5. Breaker: maximum range increased from 40 to 60 m.

Miscellaneous:

1. Power drill: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m, damage reduced by 5%.

2. Concrete breaker: maximum range increased from 80 to 140 m.

3. Corvo: maximum range increased from 170 to 500 m, damage reduced by 10%.

Lasers:

1. Aurora: maximum range increased from 80 to 110 m.

2. Amaterasu: maximum range increased from 80 to 110 m, damage reduced by 5%.

Balance changes connected to the maximum weapon range changes:

1. “Listener” radar: enemy detection range reduced from 300 to 200 m. Accuracy increase is reduced from 20% to 15%.

2. “Keen” radar: enemy detection range reduced from 400 to 300 m. Accuracy increase is reduced from 40% to 30%.

3. Icebox: removed the increase to maximum range of rocket launchers, since now rocket launchers have maximum possible range. Fixed a bug that caused “Icebox” to not increase damage for some cannons.

Balance changes to weapons not affected by range changes:

1. Caucasus: damage reduced by 5%.

2. Junkbow: damage reduced by 5%.

3. Thunderbolt: damage increased by 7.5%.

4. Summator: damage increased by 10%, rate of fire increased by 10%.

5. Prosecutor 76mm: damage increased by 5%, durability increased by 7.5%.

6. ZS-34 Fat Man: damage increased by 10%.

7. Astraeus: damage increased by 12.5%.

8. Hedgehog: damage reduced by 7.5%.

9. Mace: damage reduced by 5%.

10. Nagual: durability increased by 10%, damage reduced by 7.5%.

11. Retcher: damage reduced by 5%.

12. Draco: damage increased by 12.5%, durability increased by 5%.

13. MG14 Arbiter: damage increased by 5%.

Balance changes to movement parts:

1. Armored track: durability increased by 10%.

2. Tank track: durability increased by 10%.

3. Goliath: durability increased by 30%, resistance to blast damage increased from 8% to 16%.

4. Icarus VII: durability increased by 20%.

5. Hermes: durability increased by 20%.

Balance changes to cabins:

1. Nova: it is now possible to fire weapons while the “Nova” barrier is active. Barrier durability is reduced from 8000 to 6000; the damage boost to projectiles that pass through the barrier is reduced from 30% to 15%.
